Hypotrochoidal profile contours have been produced in industrial applications recent years using two-spindle processes, and they are considered effective high-quality solutions for form-fit shaft hub connections. This study mainly concerns analytical approaches to determine the stresses deformations hypotrochoidal shafts due pure bending loads. The formulation was developed according principles mathematical theory of elasticity conformal mappings. loading further used investigate rotating behaviour. stress factors classical calculation maximum were also determined all those profiles presented compiled German standard DIN3689-1 practical applications. results compared with corresponding numerical experimental results, very good agreement observed.
